On the imprint continued:

REMINDER:

EXISTENCE-PRESENCE = FULL + EMPTY.

Based on this diagram, an element of the universal system is divided into two parts:

– an ephemeral existence corresponding to its journey (AB). The effects of this existence disappear after its withdrawal and dismantling at point B: this is the FULL.

– a more lasting existence, corresponding to the imprint it leaves in the host system during its journey (AB): this is the EMPTY.

This leads us to differentiate between FUTURE, PAST, and IMPRINT.

– The PAST, as we saw earlier, originates from the FUTURE after its transformation into the PRESENT (REMINDER: one of the functions of human beings is to participate in the transformation of the future into the past, by way of the present phase).

– The FUTURE is an existing and present point in the host system, not yet reached by the element of the natural system.

The imprint of an element of the natural system is the continuation of its existence-presence, a passage from the form of fullness to the form of emptiness.

After the removal of the element from the natural system and its dismantling at point B,

the disappearance of the human being from the anthropocentric system and the disappearance of their memories mean that, at the base (human being), their impression of being present and existing has vanished:

the human being no longer has the “consciousness” of existing.

Nevertheless, at the base (natural system), and at the base (environmental elements), the element continues to be present and to exist, and therefore to have an influence on the functioning of the host system and that of the natural system.

REMINDER:

– always clearly distinguish between the pleasant idea of EXISTENCE-PRESENCE, and the pleasant idea of MECHANISMS.

The human being is a combination-machine, and memory is a mechanism that equips this combination-machine.

REMINDER:

For the natural system, only the UTILITY AND NECESSITY imposed upon it by its objective matter:

the existence of a combination-machine.

The ways in which these mechanisms function concern only the natural system, and not the human being.
